Paul McMahon Designs - We are a multi award winning design & planning consultancy firm working nationwide to bring your dream home from concept to completion. We, as a team of chartered professionals, recognise our professional duty to deliver creative, cost effective designs for our clients whilst incorporating sustainable technologies therefore future proofing our clients dwellings.

With our unique and informed approach to each project we provide bespoke design solutions inspired by the context, site and a clear understanding of the clients brief and ambitions. We work closely with our clients to design exceptional buildings, everything from small renovations to fully bespoke homes. Our business was created on the principle that good design responds to outs surroundings in turn enhancing the life of its occupants. We endeavour to create consistently bright, open and inspiring designs helping our clients realise the greatest potential for their space.

We are a CIAT Registered Practice whom provide a full and dedicated service starting from outline proposals, conceptual design, planning permission, building control, detailed design tendering, site management and final certification of your project on site. We are chartered and experienced professionals whom are recognised under the Building Control Act to act as ‘Assigned Certifiers’.
The Team - The team includes qualified, registered and chartered professionals in the fields of design, engineering and surveying, whom contribute to provide the highest standard quality services focused on energy efficient design.

The practice is registered with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). Members of the practice are also Chartered Building Engineers registered with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), Registered Building Surveyors registered with the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland (SCSI) and Certified Passive House Designers registered with the Passive House Association of Ireland and listed on the international database of PassivHaus Designers. We are insured to provide full architectural services. The practice is covered by a Professional Indemnity Insurance with a limit of €1,000,000. For clarification, the practice is not registered with the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, which is not a legal requisite to offer our clients an architecture of quality.
Paul Mc Mahon – Company Director. Paul graduated from the University of Ulster – Belfast/ Jordanstown in 2013 whilst receiving numerous accolades which included a number of national and regional awards for outstanding design and exceptional detailing from both the University of Ulster and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.

Paul has worked within prominent architectural practices throughout the UK & Ireland before establishing his own firm in 2016. He has gained a large quantity of experience working on acclaimed projects which have included a wide range of commercial and leisure sector projects, in both the private & public sector, throughout Europe. He has also been involved in a large number of residential projects from initial sketch design to completion.

Paul has a passion and enthusiasm for energy efficient design. He has trained as a ‘Certified Passive House Designer & Consultant’ and has received certification and recognition for taking part and completing various other courses in Energy Efficient Design.

As a Certified Passive House Designer listed on the international database & a member of the Passive House Association of Ireland, he can show you how to heat your home for less than €1/day. Without the sound advice and the right design expertise that Paul can offer, it is easy for you to spend a lot of money and not add any real value to your project.
